LPL Wel­comes Steve Hub­bard

Steve Hub­bard, a noted expert in let­ter­press print­ing and pub­lish­ing, will be vis­it­ing the Eng­lish depart­ment and TTU April 1 and 2. On April 2, he will give two pub­lic talks on his pas­sion, let­ter­press machin­ery and print­ing. All are wel­come to attend the talks. The first talk, “His­tor­i­cal Let­ter­press Machin­ery and Print­ing,” will be at noon in Eng­lish 106 and the sec­ond talk, “Let­ter­press Print­ing: Past and Present,” will be at 5pm in Eng­lish 106. Both talks will be fol­lowed by Q&A.

Let­ter­press Lab Train­ing– 201314

If you are inter­ested in begin­ning or con­tin­u­ing the Let­ter­press Lab’s appren­tice­ship pro­gram, you must com­plete the safety train­ing mod­ules on the Texas Tech University’s Divi­sion of Envi­ron­men­tal Health & Safety web­site, as spec­i­fied in the LPL Hand­book.

Once you have com­pleted all of the OHS train­ing mod­ules and passed all their tests, email a copy of the cer­tifi­cate to let­ter­press [at] ttu [dot] edu. You will then be sent instruc­tions for enrolling in the Let­ter­press Lab’s Moo­dle to begin the LPL Appren­tice­ship pro­gram.
